The blocs in Israel's 2026 election
The Knesset has 120 members, and a government needs 61 of them. So the count is read through the blocs: which camp will reach a majority, and who can decide it. Votes26 groups the lists into four blocs, for display only.
The coalition bloc
The coalition bloc — its supporters also call it the 'national camp' — is the lists of the outgoing coalition led by Benjamin Netanyahu and those close to them: Likud, Shas, United Torah Judaism, Religious Zionism and Otzma Yehudit, with smaller lists beside them.
The change bloc
The change bloc is the opposition lists that seek to replace the government. The name comes from the 'change government' formed in 2021 under Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid. In 2026 they include Beyachad, Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar!, Yisrael Beytenu, the Democrats and Blue and White.
The Arab parties
The Arab parties run in 2026 on two lists: the Joint List (Hadash, Ta'al and Balad) and Ra'am. In 2021 Ra'am became the first Arab party to join a governing coalition.
The kingmakers
The kingmakers are lists that have not committed to either of the two big blocs, so they may decide which one reaches 61. In 2026: Ofer Winter's Amcha Yisrael, and Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zelekha's Reservists and Economic list.
